I started coming to Martha’s Vineyard Community Horse Center less than a year ago. When I first came to the horse barn everybody was very welcoming and supportive. I connected and got to know each and every horse and member of this horse barn. This barn has become my support team, it is what gets me through the week. It has become my passion and my life. Martha’s Vineyard Community Horse Center will always and forever have a place in my heart.
Avery truly enjoyed her time with you this summer and looks forward to returning next year. The camaraderie, the facilities and of course the horses solidified her budding love affair or all things equine.
For Mya, every class is filled with the opportunity to improve her riding skills. The EAL sessions (including Girl Power) she has participated in, gives her a sense of self confidence, relationship with the others in the group, and has increased her love and understanding of horses – which I think also increases her sensitivity to all beings, human and animal, around her. I also glow with pride when I see her accept responsibility for the work around the barn and her work with younger children and riders.
Our 12-year old daughter Graysen has been asking to work with horses since she was a little girl. We had a hard time finding the right program and being able to afford it. We are so grateful that Martha’s Vineyard Community Horse Center was founded on the Island to answer the dreams of kids like ours. We found not only a horse program but a real community of caring people. They cherish every horse and every child. Graysen has gained real knowledge and confidence with horses, and she has become a dedicated participant and volunteer. Thank you MVCHC for giving our daughter her dream!
Thank you for including Cam as a volunteer helper at the amazing event you put together last Friday. I hope it was lucrative for the center. Cam was up and ready to go back to the barn bright and early Saturday morning too. She is feeling very good about herself these days and I attribute it to the responsibilities she’s given at the barn. Thank you. And thank you again for all you do. I can’t tell you how much being a part of the horse center means to Cam on a deep core level.
