EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING
(EAL) PROGRAMS

In the Equine Assisted Learning Programs, participants engage in unmounted groundwork and skill building exercises.  Our group activities are designed to promote self-discovery with the horse providing instant, honest unfiltered feedback.  Each eight-week program is perfectly tailored for age-specific participants. EAL programs do not involve riding. Sessions run for eight weeks and classes are 1.5 hours. The fee for each eight-week session is $240 unless otherwise noted. Session One: Week of 1/9/17 through week of 3/6/17; No classes week of 2/27/17

  • It’s All Fun and Games  (Age 4-8: Saturdays)
    Geared for younger children, this program is designed to broaden conceptual thinking and teach children communication and relationship building skills through the introduction of horsemanship. Please note, It’s All Fun and Games is offered on select Saturdays as a drop-in class. The fee is $20/participant. Contact us for information.

  • Girl Power  (Age 9-14 & Age 15-18)
    Students experience a safe, fun and challeng environment to learn more about themselves, relationships with others and the world around them. Weekly themes highlight important life skills such as: 

- Asserting healthy boundaries
- Managing obstacles and distractions
- Effective communication
- Team building and leadership

  • Boys Alive (Ages 8-11) 
    Pre-teen male group addressing:

- Self-confidence and impacts of bullying
- Emotional regulations
- Effective communication

  • Reflections (Adults)
    Mixed sex group designed to help increase self-awareness with weekly topics focusing on:

- Problem solving techniques
- Communication and team building
- Self-care and empowerment
- Horsemanship skills
